Quilting 101
Supply List
Step 1 – Accurate cutting
1 Charm Pack (if you like the scrappy look) or 1 yard print fabric*
2 yards background fabric – low volume or solid*
Rotary Cutter with a new cutting blade
Rotary Cutting Ruler (5 or 6 inches by 24 inches is best, but can also use 12-inch length)
Step 2 – Accurate Piecing
Sewing machine - in good working order that you have sewn on at least enough to be
familiar with it
Sewing machine manual
Bobbin – pre-wound with your thread
New sewing machine needles (Size 80/12)
High quality thread – Sew Fine or Aurefil are my favorites
Thread snips
Seam ripper
High quality pins (thin pins are best)
*Press your fabric well before class.
Bring a lunch – we will take a short break at lunchtime!
